5.6 Fire and Safety Department
1. The fire safety department will take the lead in rescue operations in the event of a disaster
2. The local self-government has prepared a framework for reducing the hazard of disaster unlike last year. The most important directions in the framework are given below. The police station, fire station, and taluk control room must be given the list and contact no. in accordance with the data in the framework.

details about the locations and the category of people who might be hit by the serious hazard of the disaster are given below.
The residents of government land.
The residents in colonies and the residents in the shore of reverse or any water body.
Residents in the side of the field
Residents of hill valley and remote area.
Those who live in the houses hit by landslide and soil erosion in 2018and it is found unfit for the residents by the geological survey of India.
Those who live in the houses hit by landslide soil erosion and flood in 2019 and it is found unfit for residents by state and district disaster management authority.
The families in the government land whose houses are completely perished or uninhabitable.
Those who have not finished the reconstruction of the house by making use of relief funds
3. Priority has to be given to those who come under 5.6(2) (B) (a to h) list when evacuation is conducted on the basis of warnings. And officers should confirm that this priority order is determined by Local self govt. institutions. If needed, Visit this area and understand the situation for further actions.
4. Give instructions to local self govt. institutes that, when evacuation is being conducted in a particular district /Taluk/Area, priority has to be given according to this list.
5. In case of evacuation, the Local self-Government, the Revenue and the police worked together to facilitate the evacuation process.
6. For this purpose, the mobile no. of such families has to be kept in the Local self-government institute and village office.
7. Ensure weather alerts and disaster response authorities are issued to all Fire Station. State Authority directives should reach the Officials of Fire and Safety Department through IPS WhatsApp groups.
8. Assign a senior fireman officer on a 24x7 service change basis to State EOC for liaison.
9. When instructing to avoid night time hiking in the hilly region, ensure that the route is implemented on such a route, and maintain regular patrols on such routes.
10. Priority should be given to those who are on the outskirts of the rescue operation, those who live on the banks of rivers, streams, and isolated area
11. In the situation of evaluation and rescue operation, pregnant women, children, handicapped, and differently – abled ones should be given priority.
12. Every key information about the disaster from the Fire control room should be passed to district EOC with immediate effect
13. The recognized volunteer groups, political parties, and other well-wishers who come forward for rescue operations should be participated and guided
14. Consider providing an individual protection kit to all fire force officers attached in annexure 7. It will be helpful during an emergency either for them or for others.
15. The things to be included in the list (per head) have been attached in annexure 7 16. Ensure local support and leadership is needed when deploying central forces
