5.31 Public Works Department

1. The department must conduct the Structural Audit of all the bridges in the state and prepare a priority list according to their strength and durability. The same shall be handed over to the state Disaster Management Authority with the recommendations regarding the vehicle traffic regulation in theses bridges.

2. The Structural Audit Performance of all the offices, hospitals and other buildings should be given to the state Disaster Management Authority along with the priority list according to their strength and durability and the recommendations on, which ones should be operational and of those which should be avoided in during the rainy season.

3. Prepare an emergency response team for the repair of roads, bridges, and roads in case of an emergency.
