1.5.2 Spatial distribution of Rainfall in the forecast

• Isolated rainfall – one or two places – less than or equal to 25% stations gets rainfall

• Scattered rainfall -At a few places – 26-50% stations gets rainfall

• Fairly widespread -At many places – 51-75% stations get rainfall

• Widespread -At most places – 76-100% stations get rainfall

Currently, the state meteorological department is installing rain gauge in 50 different locations to receive daily rainfall

• Isolated rainfall – one or two places – 16 rain gauge stations receives rainfall

• Scattered rainfall -At a few places – 32 rain gauge stations receives rainfall

• Fairly widespread -At many places – 49 rain gauge stations receive rainfall

• Widespread -At most places – more than 49 rain gauge stations receive rainfall
