1.9 Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services –INCOIS

ESSO- INCOIS is obligated to provide the best possible ocean information and advisory services to society, industry, government agencies, and the scientific community through continuous ocean studies and continual enhancements through comprehensive and oriented work. It’s an autonomous body to provide all details pertaining to ocean situation and the warning to the IMD bulletin. All the disasters along the coastal belt of India are forecasted by INCOIS. Except for tsunami, all the rest disasters are mentioned in the IMD warning bulletin. In some situations INCOIS will produce separately. In some instances, INCOIS especially issues warnings. In this case, KSDMA instructions will be issued in accordance with this warning. Various information is available on INCOIS website. Below are links to some of the disaster scenarios.
